Citating R and Packages

Although the software is free to use, a lot of time and effort has been invested in creating it. Therefore, please cite the software if it has been used for data analysis.

To cite R1

In the Console enter:

citation()

This returns:

To cite R in publications use:

To cite a package

If a package has been used, this should also be cited. For example the survival package2 package can be cited by entering in the Console:

citation('survival')
