Soft Tissue Sarcomas

  • Size > 5 cm
  • Enlarging
  • Painful
  • Deep to fascia
  • Recurrence at site of previous excision (whatever the previous histology)

Should be considered malignant and referred urgently

Primary Bone Tumour

  • Night pain or non-mechanical pain (especially in adolescence)
  • Radiographic appearances suggesting bone tumour

Should be considered malignant and referred urgently

Metastatic Spinal Tumour

  • ? Spinal cord compression
